*contained traces of forced labour

Whether in the bakery, the textile factory or on the football pitch - forced labour was omnipresent in National Socialist Germany. The motifs symbolise the long-hidden fate of the more than 26 million men, women and children who had to work involuntarily for the Nazi state during the Second World War. Visitors to the Nazi Forced Labour Documentation Centre can find out more about this in special exhibitions, at events, in the archives and library, and actively engage with it as part of the wide range of educational opportunities.
