The Nazi Forced Labour Documentation Centre collects records relating to Nazi forced labour within what is now the city of Berlin. We do not, as a rule, process enquiries concerning individuals, camps or places of deployment outside Berlin.
Please direct any enquiries regarding individuals or places to the regional archives, in particular the Arolsen Archives. For independent research into individuals, as well as camps and places of detention outside Berlin, please refer to the research guide on the Nazi Forced Labour education portal, which is available for download as a PDF in both German and English. For information on ‘Italian military internees’, we have compiled a list of relevant research resources here in German and here in English.
